Powderpuff and Cheering

This week is homecoming! Avarie was so excited to not be playing volleyball so she could play powderfull football. She was runningback. She loved it and had fun smokin' everyone.
She even had a touchdown! We enjoyed cheering her on, but after 3 1/2 hours we left....she scored right after that of course!
Here she is with her buddy Leslee. They had crazy hair done by the Paul Mitchel Hair school...it was VERY frizzy!
Running......

Defense....turned getting coached.

On a different note....Cheering has a new meaning to me this week. Some friends of ours in our ward, their grandson just found out he has leukemia. He is six years old and down at Primary Children's hospital. His mom was Avarie's English teacher. A wonderful family. They had a pep rally today at Kindra's school to show their support and love. There were tons of people and
the TV stations, newspapers, posters & cheerleaders were there. An incredibles showering of love for this cute little boy. Cancer is so evil and has affected many lives. This little boys story is very inspirational and gives me strength as a mom to go on..... his blog is http://www.ironmanjace.blogspot.com/
if you want to read more and cheer on Jace.
