Miracles do happen!

Here it is...for those of you that don't know me, I got my Bachelors Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. More specifically, Clothing and Textiles. Technically-Fashion Merchandising. You see I took many sewing classes in high school and in college. I even took that class everyone jokes about...weaving!! Yes, it is true. The real truth is...I HATE SEWING!!! I dont' know if it is because I did so much sewing in school or that I became better friends with a seam ripper than an actual sewing machine. My mom has tried to help me back into it, a new sewing maching a few years ago. I just could not do it....until.....the idea of this graduation present for Avarie wouldn't leave my mind!! So, after 20 years of not sewing. I got it out. Even Trey asked me,"Hey, I have seen one of those on the movie Three Amigos-what is that called?" yes pathetic! So the last 6 months I have tossed and turned over this project. Then, when I was almost ready to give up...my friend Stacie said, "I will finish it for you!" Can you imagine my excitement and reaction to my friend!! Machine quilt this? Hugs and screams of joy like you would not believe!! So, here it is! Even though I didn't do it all...it is finished. Yes, miracles do happen! Now, should I start on Katelyn's? Sigh....

Looking back...and looking forward

It is always good to look back at the fun we have had this summer....but let's get real

The biggest highlight of our summer was going to the Michael Buble Concert in Spokane! Though the seats were high we LOVED the concert! We have been listening to his music for a long time and it was great to all go and sing along and feel such amazing energy there! 

Yes our seats were high...and we felt very sad for Grandpa Skinner, who has a phobia of high places...just watching him climb to his seat was heart breaking...but once there- all was good.

Coming in a close second....we enjoyed going to Grandma Limburgs and having waffles!! Yes with all the fixins! Wow!!

We loved seeing our cousins!!

And our yearly tradition of McKenzie River Pizza!!

It was very special to have the Skinner Brothers together, after all Matt has gone through the last few months...we are very glad he is here.

Mitch and Ben got to be great buddies...both Seahawk fans.

Oh yes, and who could forget the excitement of driving grandpa's black car! If you knew what the car looked like that she drives you would understand her excitement.
